QminC is made by a family business in the Nakhon Ratchasima region of Thailand. For many years the company made tapioca starch. It then decided to make a drink of its own and built a separate factory for it.
QminC is made with . , the yellow substance in , does not mix easily with water. So the production uses a method brought from Japan, called , that spreads the evenly through the drink. No preservatives are added.
The first QminC went on sale in September 2020. It was the first drink of its kind in Thailand. It soon spread across the country, and then to other countries. Today millions of people in many countries drink QminC.
In 2021 QminC won Best Technology Innovation at the Zenith InnoBev Awards, held by Zenith Global, a company based in the United Kingdom. The winners were announced at an online ceremony in the UK on 11 May 2021. More than 180 brands from around the world took part, and QminC was the only Thai brand to win an award that year.
QminC is now sold in Türkiye. It is the same drink sold in Thailand: the same recipe, the same bottle. , ginger and honey are flavours we already know here; QminC simply offers them ready in a bottle.
